Good morning lovely people!
I'm here with a little list of goodies that you can buy in the pharmacy, supermarket or online for under £10. Having tried and tested many drugstore brands, these are the creme de la creme! None of these products have broken me out (I have reactive combination-oily skin) even though some are lightly scented.
Remember I always link where to buy the products on the title! ^_^
1. Eucerin DermoPurifyer Adjunctive Hydrating Care SPF30 (RRP £9.25):
This is a pumpable, fairly thick lotion which is targeted at skin 'dehydrated from acne treatment'. It is more of a chemist product which you can buy without prescription.
Pros: Great at hydrating throughout the day, high SPF with UVA & UVB protection.
Cons: Slight medicinal smell, can get a little oily after 4-6 hours.
Use for: Sensitive, drier, irritable and/or blemish-prone skin. Daytime, under make-up.
2. Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion (RRP £8.99):
Texture is lighter than Eucerin, and is very spreadable. Designed to treat eczma, acne, rosacea and psoriasis.
Pros: Completely free from fragrance or colour, extremely gentle.
Cons: May be a little too thick for daytime use for combination/oily skin.
Use for: Problem, dry & sensitive skin! Day and night, after clay face masks to deeply rehydrate the skin.
3. Nivea Visage Pure & Natural Night Cream (RRP £5.35)
Best night cream I've ever tried of this price range. This product has the loveliest natural-smelling fragrance and is creamy but not too thick.
Pros: Sinks well into the skin, conditions the skin all night.
Cons: Lightly fragranced! May be too thick for warmer climates or oilier skin types.
Use for: Normal, combination and drier skin. Everyday use in colder weather.
4. Olay Beauty Fluid (RRP £4.99):
A
firm bloggers' favourite. It is lightly scented and the only 'coloured' product mentioned today.
Pros: Comes in normal/dry/combination and sensitive versions, extremely lightweight and easily absorbed.
Cons: Lightly fragranced, too thin for combination/drier skin.
Use for: Day time (remember to add SPF!), under make-up, flash photography on nights out. Mixing with heavier or matte-finish foundations.
5. Boots Essentials Moisturising Cream (RRP £1.50)
I still can't quite get over how cheap this product is, and it is my go-to product for good skin days. The texture is almost like gel-cream combo, also smells fresh and unisex.
Pros: Provides basic moisturisation, spreadable and does not go shiny throughout the day.
Cons: Lightly scented, will not be hydrating enough for dry skin types.
Use for: Normal to slightly oily, problem-free skin. Daytime use, mixing with foundations.
That's it for now! Hope you've found this useful, let me know if you have used any of the products and if you liked them. :D
Lots of love,
Yang xo
