HELLO lovelies!
If you've been following me on social media you might have noticed that I had the pleasure of spending a couple of days with American Youtube blogger Serein Wu (Dress Yourself Happy) recently. Of course, it was inevitable that we ended up swapping some beauty items from across the Atlantic... And I have a few snaps and quick swatches of what she got me from the US!
We had such a fun few days - go follow her European adventure! |
Starting with eye products:
Sonia Kashuk: Eye on Neutral 02 (12 neutral matte shadows) - extremely pigmented and blendable shades, good mix of warm and cool shadows.
Wet 'n' Wild: Silent Treatment (satin pale pink, satin deep plum with gold flecks, shimmery taupe)
Colourpop: eyeshadows in Lala (metallic rose gold), Smash (shimmery nude gold), Flux (matte pastel mint) and Daddy (matte pastel violet) - these have fantastic pigmentation, go on like a cream/mousse but SET after a few seconds.
One-swipe swatches of Colourpop Daddy, Lala, Flush and Smash shadows. |
Onto face products:
Tarte: Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation in Light Neutral (a light moussey texture with demi-matte finish) - very kindly gifted by Serein
NYX: HD Blush in Taupe (countouring grey-toned blush)
NYX: Wonderstick in Light/Medium (cream contouring stick with neutral-cool undertones) - very subtle shading on light-medium skintones.
NYX - High Voltage Lipstick in Tan-Gerine (pastel peachy coral) and Flutter Kiss (mauvey 'my lips but better' colour)
Colourpop - Lippie Pencils in Yasmin (medium orange-red) and Button (medium brown-based nude) - these are extremely soft and blendable, with a cream-matte finish.
Colourpop - Lippie Stick [not shown] lip primer (translucent line-filler with a matte finish)
One-swipe swatches of NYX High Voltage in Flutter kiss, Tan-gerine & Colourpop lippie pencils in Yasmin, Button & NYX Wonder Stick contour end in Light/Medium |
And last but not least... One of my favourite makeup brush lines:
e.l.f: Studio Small Angled Brush (eyeliner and brows), Complexion Brush (multipurpose face powders), Contour Brush (round crease for the eyes) and Small Stipple Brush (for lightweight application of powder and cream cheek products) - having already bought several of the Studio brushes, these do not disappoint. They are very soft and do not feel as cheap as they actually were!

Hope y'all enjoyed peeking into my ever-expanding makeup collection (sigh....) - let me know of any post requests. :D I finish my exams very soon and can't wait to get back to blogging! Don't forget to follow Serein on Instagram and Twitter (@sereinwu) for daily updates and beauty-related photos - she has a super cute blog too - sereinwu.com!
Hope you're having a wonderful day.
